Prosthogonimus macrorchis, a flatworm poultry parasite, imaged with Rheinberg illumination. Honorable Mention, 2010 Olympus BioScapes Digital Imaging Competition®. Prosthogonimus macrorchis has a complex life cycle involving water snails and dragonflies. The specimen was stained with fuchsin and photographed with Rheinberg illumination. Length is 10 mm.
