Description

Figure 351 from Chapter 15 (Cytoplasmic Inclusions) of 'The Cell, 2nd Ed.' by Don W. Fawcett M.D. Glycogen in the ventricle papillary muscle of cat heart. In this tissue, the glycogen occurs as individual particles in close association with mitochondria and the sacroplasmic reticulum, whereas only a few particles occur within the contractile material. A PDF copy of the accompanying chapter is available on the ASCB's BioEDUCATE website.
