Description

MT inhibition alters the location of the cell front. Time-lapse of a cell expressing RLC-D,D–GFP (a phospho-mimetic mutant of the RLC) on fibronectin in the presence of 1 mM nocodazole. Note the accumulation of RLC-D,D–GFP in one region of the cell, the abnormal length and orientation of the leading edge, and the subsequent ripping of the front. mages were captured in TIRF mode using an inverted microscope (IX70; Olympus) coupled to a CCD camera (Retiga Exi; Qimaging). Live samples were acquired at 37°C using CCM1 medium. This movie corresponds to Fig. 2 A and video 3 in J Cell Biol 2011 193:381-396.
